Mare and Annex, used together, become two private houses on one piece of land — enough distance for each generation to rest on their own terms, and enough common ground to gather for a meal, a soak, or an evening by the water.
There is no fixed bathing hour here. The natural hot spring in Mare is available from early morning, so older family members can begin the day at whatever time suits them best.
Annex gives one household its own bedrooms, its own pool and its own hot spring — and, being the dog-friendly villa on the property, room for the family dog to come along as well.
When it is time to come together, Sushi Kappo Ontaku on the property — or a private chef catering course inside the villa itself — creates an intimate setting for the entire family to dine together.

Two sister properties, made with the same devotion to privacy and to place.
A waterfront villa on the coast of Awaji Island, with sauna, natural hot spring, an infinity pool and a private dog run — the whole property held for one group a day.
