Natural hot spring, private sauna and an infinity pool that appears to spill into the sea — all of it inside the walls of a single villa, with no one else to share it with. Together, they create one of Awaji Mare's signature experiences.
The 10㎡ bathroom draws on the imagery of a stone cave — a natural hot spring to unwind the body after a day of travel, fed by natural hot spring water and available entirely at your own pace. Showerheads and hairdryers throughout are by ReFa.
A private sauna sits beside the hot spring, enhanced with aromatic sauna essences and framed by an uninterrupted sea view. There is no one waiting outside the door — enjoy the sauna ritual entirely at your own pace, for as long as you like.
A cold plunge sits directly beside the sauna, so the rhythm of heat and cold — known in Japan as "totonou," the distinctly Japanese sense of deep relaxation and clarity after alternating heat and cold — never has to leave the room.
Black tile and timber decking give the terrace a quiet, luxury tone, while the infinity-edge design creates a seamless visual connection with the sea beyond — as striking by morning light as it is at sunset.
Annex, on the same grounds as Mare, holds its own private pool and natural hot spring — so a larger party can split across two villas without either group giving up the experience that brought them here.

Two sister properties, made with the same devotion to privacy and to place.
A waterfront villa on the coast of Awaji Island, with sauna, natural hot spring, an infinity pool and a private dog run — the whole property held for one group a day.
